Do all seats offer the same experience?
Any seat on the M/S Mount Washington offers spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee, but some areas offer slightly different experiences. All seating is "first come, first served" on narrated scenic tours, and we encourage passengers to move around and explore the ship at their leisure.
Main Deck
The largest area on the M/S Mount Washington, the Main Deck offers the most amenities of any section of the ship, including restrooms, grille, bar, and gift shop.
The Main Deck is also the handicapped-accessible area of the ship. Passengers with mobility concerns or difficulty with stairs should be seated here.
Promenade
The Promenade is the outside walkway on the second deck of the ship, including a seating area located on the bow. This area of the ship offers beautiful views of the lake in a completely outdoor setting.
Please note that the Promenade is an outdoor deck and passengers in this area will be exposed to the elements and should plan accordingly. In the event of severe winds or inclement weather, passengers will be directed to an indoor area of the ship.
Captains Lounge
Located directly under the wheelhouse on the second deck, the Captains Lounge is a relaxing, quiet area of the ship with decor and memoribilia that celebrates the individuals who have served as Captain of the M/S Mount Washington. Popular for small private events, this indoor lounge offers beautiful views of the lake with doors leading to the Promenade.
Flagship Lounge
Located on the second deck of the ship toward the stern, the Flagship Lounge is a larger lounge featuring photography and artifacts that celebrate the flagship of the Winnipesaukee Fleet. Popular for larger private events, this indoor lounge has a stage for live entertainment, dance floor, and full bar.
3rd Deck Forward
Located directly behind the wheelhouse, this open air section of the ship is located under a large awning to provide a shelter from the elements.
Please note that the Third Deck is an outdoor deck and passengers in this area will be exposed to the elements and should plan accordingly. In the event of severe winds or inclement weather, passengers will be directed to an indoor area of the ship.
3rd Deck Aft
Located on the third deck on the stern of the ship, this open air section is completely open to the elements, with casual seating that makes it easy for passengers to mingle and make new friends.
Please note that the Third Deck is an outdoor deck and passengers in this area will be exposed to the elements and should plan accordingly. In the event of severe winds or inclement weather, passengers will be directed to an indoor area of the ship.
Food Service
For your convenience, food stations will be located around the ship with a wide variety of items for sale, including snacks, ice cream, burgers, sandwiches, and more.
Bar Service
The M/S Mount Washigton offers bar service on every deck of the ship, and our friendly and knowledgable bartenders are ready to assist you with soft drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails.
Be sure to take a look at our wide selection of beer, wine and beverages made locally in New Hampshire!
Please note that some bars may be closed due to inclement weather or on evenings with fewer passengers.
Entertainment
Every dinner cruise includes entertainment from the area's top live acts.
Entertainment will always be located on the Main Deck, with additional performance areas for weekends and special events located on the upper decks.
Gift Shop
Located on the Main Deck of the ship, the Gift Shop offers a wide variety of Lake Winnipesaukee items and M/S Mount Washington memoribilia.
In our 2022 season, be sure to browse our 150th Anniversary Collection, including limited edition items that can only be found on board.
Refunds
All tickets are non-refundable, with the rare exception of a cruise that is canceled by us due to extreme weather or mechanical failure.
Exchanges
Passengers are able to exchange their tickets for an alternate cruise with 48 hours advance notice of the cruise. Ticket exchanges are subject to additional service fees.
Unused Tickets
Any ticket unused once the cruise departs will be eligible for 50% of the ticket value, minus service fees, toward tickets for another cruise.
Are dogs permitted on the ship?
Only specially-trained service dogs are permitted. Service animals must be trained to perform a specific task for an individual with a disability. Emotional support animals are not permitted nor protected under ADA.
Can I bring my own food on board?
The M/S Mount Washington has a restaurant on board, and therefore does not allow outside food and beverage to be brought on board, with the exception of celebration cakes which we do not offer. If there is a dietary restriction or reason you may need to bring your own food, please contact our Ticket Office before you arrive for your cruise.
Can I bring a stroller on board?
Absolutely. However, we do ask that strollers remain on the Main Deck and are not carried to the upper decks. If the child does not require the use of the stoller while on board, please speak with a member of our deck crew and they can store it for you.
Are group discounts available?
